Dear all,
Does anyone know of a good method for detecting (I'm thinking absorbance /
fluorescence) N-formyl-hydroxyamino acids (eg. N-formyl-hydroxy-lysine)? If
not, a removal of the formyl group that doesn't involve boiling highly
concentrated acids? Single amino acid deformylases? Have searched literature
to no avail....
A positive answer would make a grad student's life so much better!!
