Bardsley ======= School of Biological Sciences Stopford Building Oxford Road Manchester M13 9PT, UK Email : W.G.Bardsley@man.ac.uk The SIMFIT package ================== SIMFIT is a comprehensive package for simulation, curve fitting, statistical analysis and graph plotting in the life sciences. There are no device drivers but publication quality graphics can be generated in HPGL for plotters and laser printers or in PS for LaTeX users. Version 3.2 (16-bit) runs on any PC with 470K free memory, uses Watcom GKS for graphics and the NAG library for numerical analysis, statistical analysis, differential equation solving and optimisation. It occupies about 4.5 Mbyte of disk space. This release is a general purpose, 16-bit, cut down version for 286 PC's and under. Those with 386 PC's upwards, who are interested in a superior protected mode version (32-bit) with extra facilities, can contact the author. Installing the package ====================== Copy simfit32.exe into a directory called \simfit, for example c:\simfit. Type simfit32 to decompress the package - around 140 files. Type setup32 to prepare the package for use. File README.DOC in simfit32.exe contains more detailed information.
