The programs are also available on BioTechNet. 2. The programs will probably also be on whatever public domain software DNASTAR is shipping with their mac versions. They requested my whole PD set a few months ago. 3. The co-author for these programs is Dr. Angela Luttke. She wrote the basic algorithms on an (!)512k mac, old ROMS. I rewrote the interface so that it would work on all macs, made the save/print functions work, made the code re-entrant, etc.,etc. She is busily churning out more programs at present, only some of which I intend to convert/compile. If someone actually wants the original MS Basic versions of the programs, I have those as well. 4. I have written a few PLOTA style programs myself. They work on sets of aligned sequences rather than single sequences. Any comments on how to weigh the contributions of each sequence in the alignment, etc would be welcome. -Peter Markiewicz
