During this time the staff and I have made the acquaintance of a large fraction of the molecular biology community, and what else can I say but "It's been grand!" We have appreciated your support over the years and have enjoyed serving you. The GOS e-mail servers and the free IRX account will continue to operate through 5 PM on the 29th of September, although genbank.bio.net may be down at random times as we transfer mailing lists, etc., to our new BIOSCI machine. Please watch BIONEWS/bionet.announce for further announcements. We bequeath this newsgroup and Tom Schneider to our colleagues at NCBI. The BIOSCI/bionet newsgroups will continue to be run by Kenton Hoover and yours truly for another three years, so you'll still have us to "kick around" when things get dull. 8-) Best Regards to you all!
