4-16-92 AutoDesk HyperChem Demo HyperChem is a molecular modelling program for the PC. It has some relatively prodigious hardware requirements, but claims to have the ability to do things easily that would ordinarily require much more expensive hardware and software. This is a semi-freerunning demo to give an idea what the program does (perservere thru the stupid animations at startup). It does not allow you to access the program directly. HyperChem is available from Autodesk (1 800 424 9737). Introductory academic cost is about $600 for about 90 days; after that it increases to about $3500 (!) Autodesk claims that a version that runs on the SGI 4D series and Indigo will be out shortly (and probably more expensively). Hardware requirements for full version: >=386/387 (demo might work without 387), >=4MB RAM, >=20MB disk space (demo:3.2MB), >=VGA, >=Windows 3.0, >=DOS3.3, MS mouse.
