NEUROTUT.ZIP is an archive that expands to 582 kB when loaded onto a hard disk. The NEUROTUT programs will run on any IBM-compatible computer. A color monitor is very desirable but not essential. (Everything can be read on a Hercules-type monochrome monitor, but colors are used to enhance text and diagrams.) All is explained in the file README.NRO, which is in the .ZIP archive. The command NRO (for Neuro) opens a program of eight tutorials, which introduce the development and gross anatomy of the nervous system, and a ninth "tutorial" that consists of over 300 revision questions covering the whole of human neuroscience at a more advanced level. The questions require words or short phrases for answers. Notification of a right or wrong answer is accompanied by an explanatory paragraph. The revision questions may also be used separately, by entering NQI (for NeuroQuiz) at the command line. The author welcomes comments and suggestions: John A.
