This folder (ftp://iubio.bio.indiana.edu/biogrid/) is a working
folder for bioinformatics grid software development and tests.
The primary client information is found at
http://iubio.bio.indiana.edu/grid/

Planned contents:

bioapps/
  compiled programs (bin/) and source (src/) for
  some common public bioinformatics tools and programs.
  compiled versions should be added for common unix systems
  to facilitate remote copy and installation including 
    powerpc-apple-darwin5.1 - MacOS X
    i686-pc-linux - Linux Intel
    sparc-sun-solaris2.8 - Sun Sparc

gridclient/
  software for the bioscientist to install and run on personal computer

gridserver/
  software for installing on computers part of the compute/data grid
  currently this is http://www.globus.org/ and
    ftp://ftp.globus.org/pub/globus/globus-latest.tar.gz -- globus v1
    ftp://ftp.globus.org/pub/gt2/  beta/bundles/ bin/ and src/ - v2
